Frigo Group continues without Frigo ‘s-Heerenberg

The Frigo Group is moving on without Frigo ‘s-Heerenberg: the cold store in the Achterhoek region with a capacity of 34,000 pallets has been sold to Lineage Logistics. “It was an ‘offer you can’t refuse’,” says co-owner Wil van Veen. “We had no intention of selling the company, but an opportunity like that only comes along once in a lifetime.”

The sale of the site in ‘s-Heerenberg to Lineage, the world’s largest cold storage company, means that the Frigo Group will continue with two sites: Frigo Nieuw-Vennep, which has a capacity of 22,000 pallets, and Frigo Group Logistics, which specialises in the logistics and transport of chilled and frozen foodstuffs. Managing Director Margreet van Elderen of the family business understands the sale of the sister company in ‘s-Heerenberg. “We look back on some fantastic years, in which the Frigo Group became what it is today: the logistics service provider in frozen foods. Without Frigo ‘s-Heerenberg, we will continue in the same vein, and with branches in Nieuw-Vennep and Geldermalsen, we will show that we are entrepreneurs who only think in terms of opportunities and possibilities.”
