Frigo FTL transport

Full truck load (FTL) or less than truck load (LTL). Depending on the size of the consignment, the available budget and the answer to the question of how quickly the goods must reach their destination, Frigo Group Transport offers both forms of transport. FTL transport is considerably faster than LTL transport and therefore very suitable for so-called “high consumer demand” goods.

What is Full Truck Load (FTL)?

FTL refers to the use of an entire truck to transport goods from one customer. This means that the load utilizes the full capacity of our truck, unlike Less Than Truck Load (LTL) where multiple shipments from different customers are combined. FTL is particularly advantageous for companies that need to transport large quantities of goods because it reduces lead time and reduces the risk of damage to the goods.

Frozen and refrigerated transport

In conditioned transport, freezer and refrigerated transport are essential for maintaining the quality and safety of perishable goods. Freezer transport requires temperatures below freezing, often to -20 degrees Celsius or below, to preserve products such as meat, fish and frozen foods. Refrigerated transport, on the other hand, maintains temperatures between 0 and 15 degrees Celsius, suitable for products such as dairy, fruits and vegetables.

Benefits of FTL for Frozen and refrigerated transport

  1. Maintain quality: By reserving an entire truck for a single load, temperature control can be fine-tuned to the specific requirements of the products. This minimizes temperature fluctuations and helps maintain the quality and safety of the goods.
  2. Speed and Efficiency: FTL transportation reduces the time required for loading and unloading goods because there are no intermediate stops to pick up or deliver other loads. This is especially important for perishable goods that need to be delivered quickly.
  3. Less Chance of Damage: Because one customer’s cargo fills the entire truck, there is less chance of damage that can occur when several shipments are transported together. This is crucial for delicate products such as fresh produce or frozen items.

Transport of dry goods and general cargo

For non-conditioned transport, where temperature control is not required, FTL also offers significant advantages. Companies transporting dry goods, building materials or industrial products can benefit from the efficiency and speed of FTL transport with us.

If a lot is too small for FTL, Frigo Group Transport offers LTL and groupage as good alternatives to get a partial load to its destination as quickly and efficiently as possible. This applies to both freezer transport, refrigerated transport and non-conditioned transport to all conceivable destinations at home and abroad, with an emphasis on the Benelux, Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Hungary and Switzerland.
