GBS Leiden is a small, but high value client of Frigo Nieuw-Vennep
With nearly 23.000 pallets, a surface of 12.000 m2 and the Warehouse Management System (WMS) Frigo Nieuw-Vennep is able to store and load large lots of refrigerated and deep-frozen foods in a highly efficiently way. Especially multinationals that belong to the regular clients attach importance not only to quality, but also to quantity: bulk lots that are consigned to Frigo Nieuw-Vennep often consist of hundreds of pallets.
At Good Biomarket Sciences Leiden (GBS) things are completely different. Under the slogan: ‘If you cannot appreciate the small…’Frigo Nieuw-Vennep entered into a business relationship with this research laboratory end 2011. The contract comprises two pallets that are being preserved at a temperature of below 28°C. ‘It is the backup of our working stock that we have stored at the same temperature in a cold store near Leiden’ says Jacoline Neuteboom, Laboratory Coordinator Clinical Assay Unit at GBS. ‘The pallets contain biological materials that are being researched in our laboratory in Leiden. With this biomarker research, GBS makes a large contribution to the development of new medicine.
