Our storage and distribution takes place at our modern warehouse in Reken, just over the German border. Frigo Logistics provides the physical transport to our retail customers. After we moved our storage facility to Reken in August 2008, we were looking for a professional distributor who could meet our high standards for service and quality. Iglo Nederland was also looking for a carrier who could provide flexibility. In the FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) market, this is an important plus. ‘Golden Foods produces chicken products of excellent quality. In Thailand, we have two production locations that prepare all kinds of ready-to-use products for export to Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America. The chicken products destined for continental Europe are shipped by container to Rotterdam and from there to ’s-Heerenberg where we also have our offices. Our goods arrive in bulk at Frigo’s cold store where they are stored. We then instruct the Frigo Group as to which products have to be delivered on certain days. They assemble the products and make everything ready for delivery.
One of the most important extra services provided by the Frigo Group is their customs processing. They act as our tax representative and take over all of our customs responsibilities. The containers are stored in Frigo’s customs warehouse. This is an advantage for us because we are not immediately confronted with import duties and VAT. We can wait until the goods are on transport before transferring import duties and VAT. This is very beneficial for us, especially when it comes to large quantities.
We have been doing business with the Frigo Group ever since the summer of 1999. We consider our contact person at Frigo as more or less one of our own employees. We have only praise for the services we receive from the Frigo Group. Everything runs exactly as it should.’

‘In my job as concept manager, I’m co-responsible for the bread concept at Chaupain B.V. Our brand is marketed at VHC wholesalers that supply the hospitality sector. Chaupain’s bread is delivered directly from the bakeries that bake bread for Chaupain to Frigo in Nieuw-Vennep. In most cases, the Frigo Group is responsible itself for the transport from the bakeries to Nieuw-Vennep. All of this runs very smoothly.
Besides storage, the Frigo Group puts together the orders at either the pallet or package level. The Frigo Group also delivers the goods from its cold store to the VHC wholesalers that supply the hospitality sector. Frigo’s computerised online inventory system allows us to log in at any time we want so that we can see what is happening with our goods. Not only can we easily see which flows of goods have arrived at their location and which have left, but we can also get information about inventory levels and expiration dates.
Having a dedicated contact person at the Frigo Group, both in their cold stores and at their office, makes things very convenient for us. If we have any questions, they know almost automatically what we’re talking about. For us, this is a big plus point in favour of the Frigo Group. For the Frigo Group, Chaupain B.V. is not just a number but a real customer. They take our situation and issues into consideration. If they happen upon any nonconformities or exceptional situations, they let us know straightaway. For Chaupain, this means that we can respond easily and quickly. After a short period of receiving services from another supplier, we were really glad to get back together with the Frigo Group.’

‘Frutarom produces fruit and other preparations for the food industry. Frutarom has been storing fruit and other ingredients at the Frigo Group’s facilities ever since 1993. They provide the orderpicking of goods for processing in our factory. The Frigo Group also stores the goods produced by Frutarom and prepares them for delivery to various ice cream and dessert manufacturers.

‘Vers aan Tafel Maaltijdservice supplies consumers, welfare work organisations and residential care organisations, mental health institutions, company canteens, wholesalers and police stations with frozen and refrigerated convenience meals. The Frigo Group receives the bulk transports at the production location, stores the bulk supplies, and conducts the orderpicking of the meals at the customer’s order level. Consumers get their meals delivered in a box of products they have selected themselves. The Frigo Group puts the right meals (six of them) in the boxes and makes the boxes ready for distribution to the buyers every day. They also prepare the orders that go to our wholesalers.
